Is there more than one beach in Clearwater?

Many travel across the Nation to enjoy Tampa Bay's finest beaches. In fact, Clearwater has been recognized in the top ten best beaches. Apart from its tourist accommodations in the forms of hotels and entertainment, many find that Clearwater's variety of beaches is what they find most appealing.

Clearwater is obviously known for its inviting shorelines and sugar white sand. Although the most known beach in Clearwater is Clearwater Beach, there are a variety of waters to visit while in the area.

Sand Key

Sand Key beach is one of the more popular beaches in Clearwater. Just 17 minutes away from the airport, many find that living in Clearwater apartments near Sandkey to be quiet, secluded, and slower paced. Although just a walk to the Clearwater Pier and tourist area, Sandkey allows residents to enjoy the privacy of the waters.

Honeymoon Island Beach

Honeymood Island is a nature lover's favorite beach in Clearwater. Just North of Clearwater apartments, this State Park allows visitors to bring their dogs along for the ride. In order to get to the beach, a ferry shuttles visitors to the Caladesi Island, making it much more exclusive than other beaches in Clearwater.

Anclote Key

Anclote Key is another State Park with a private setting. Many travel to Anclote by boat, although it is not restricted to just boat access. The biggest attraction to the beach park is that beachgoers have the option to camp over night. If you enjoy the beauty of water wildlife, Anclote Key is the perfect area to spot Dolphins sightings and sting rays.

Pier 60

Pier 60 is the main beach in the area. Surrounded by Clearwater apartments, million dollar homes and dozens of hotels, this beach is the “go-to” beach for those looking for nearby entertainment and social surroundings. This is where most of the attraction lies in the city and you are sure to approach a packed beach upon visitation. This expansive water front shore line is equipped with a playground, restrooms, shops, restaurants and more. Many decide to bring out their jet skis, boats and paddle boards for fun in the sun.

Although these are just a few of the beaches surrounding the area, know that there are handfuls of waters to choose from when looking for the best place to enjoy the Sun Shine States summer weather.
