Is Clearwater too touristy to live in?
When looking for an apartment in Clearwater, it is wise to keep in mind that Clearwater's beautiful beaches draw tourists in year round. However, it is definitely possible to find an apartment in Clearwater that is close to the beach and away from all the non- locals. The important thing to think about while you're searching for your new home is location in regards to the tourist attractions. In respects to entertainment, you'll find that there is plenty to do in Clearwater without having to fight through a sea of tourists.
First and foremost, if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of busy season in Clearwater, stay off the strip. The further you get from Pier 60, the less likely you are to run into a crowd of tourist. This isn't to say that you can't visit the beach on a regular basis. But, as far as apartment living, if you need something a little more low key, then you want to move yourself just a few minutes away from the beach. Rocky Point apartments are just moments away from the beach, but far enough away to unwind and relax in piece. In addition, these apartments are close to some of Tampa's best entertainment such as: SOHO and International Mall. This is the kind of place where you can have your cake and eat it too.
Palm Harbor is is nestled inside of Clearwater. The area is certainly geared towards families and is thus a little sleepier than other neighborhoods in Clearwater. It is a safe neighborhood with some great schools nearby. This also means that there isn't going to be too much tourism going on in your backyard. Green, green, and more green, Palm Harbor apartment residents will find many parks and nature trails relatively close to home. Honeymoon Island State Park and Caladesi Island are both only a short drive from anywhere in Palm Harbor you call home.
Once you find your Clearwater apartment, you'll next be wondering what to do to keep yourself entertained. One very appealing option is checking out some live music. Ruth Eckerd Hall features some of the more well know musical artists because it is a larger venue than some of the other establishments that feature live music. Some smaller venues include: Yarde of Ale Gastro Pub and The Hideaway. There's a long list of places where you can enjoy some musical snacks that will be just moments away from any neighborhood in Clearwater.
