Health concerns may be a primary issue when moving to a new city or neighborhood, especially for those with families. If you or one of your family members are accident- prone relatives, it may be safe bet to live in St. Pete apartments near a hospital. There are a variety of treatment facilities in this town ranging from pediatrics to emergency rooms. In fact, there are over 43 hospitals in the Tampa Bay-St. Pete metropolitan community.

In the center of the city, off of 38th Avenue and 66th streets is St. Petersburg General Hospital. Known to be the leading provider of health care in the Pinellas County area, this hospital treats a diverse population of patients, from kids to the elderly. Apartment communities close to this hospital are near downtown St. Pete and those in Gulfport.

For those of you living in St. Pete apartments in the Gandy area, closer to Tampa or near Tyrone, St. Anthony's hospital will be one of your closets emergency health facilities. St. Anthony's Hospital is just off of I-275, making its location easily accessible. This hospital is also known for their 80 outstanding years of service, their neurology and cancer centers, as well as sports medicine and robotics surgery.

The Bayfront Medical Center is the prime hospital for ER and trauma patients in this gulf side city. With over 2,500 staff members, many patients from Tampa are transferred to this Bay area hospital. The bayfront center offers services ranging from cardiac care, neurosciences, obstetrics, gynecology, critical care, emergency care, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, sports medicine, cancer care and surgery.

Although this building is closer to downtown St. Pete, many prefer to visit this center in emergency situations. Just down the street from Bayfront is All Children's Hospital. For apartments near Bayfront, and All Children's Hospital look for homes near 6th street.

Just across from the Bay area beaches is the Baypines VA healthcare and across town, in the Northern district of Pinellas County, is Northside Hospital.

No matter where you decide to live in this city, there is a hospital not too far from apartments near St. Pete. Although the majority of healthcare institutions are located near downtown, there are several throughout town making emergency treatment readily available near your home.
