Where should I live if I want to be near a golf course?

Are you searching for Tampa apartments near a golf course? Fortunately, there are over sixty different golf courses throughout the Tampa Bay area.

If you are moving to the Hillsborough County region with the intent to take every advantage of Florida’s weather, living near a golf course can be beneficial for avid golfers.

The average temperature of the Bay area sits a near 74 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes then, with no surprise, that many Floridians chose to spend the bulk of their days outdoors. Whether it be a dip in their neighborhood pool, or a day in the shade, Tampa residents definitely benefit from the town’s indigenous recreational greenery.  If you are in search of finding a home that will allow you to participate in daily outdoor fun, Tampa is a great spot for you to live in!

No matter where you decide to live in the Bay area, there is nearly a golf course around the corner for most Tampa apartments.  From South to North Tampa, you will quickly find your neighborhood driving range.

If you plan on sticking near the USF region, there is a course right on campus. The Claw is a public golf course and is much more laid back than most of the country clubs you will find throughout the county.  However, don’t be fooled by the low-key atmosphere. The Claw happens to be one of the most challenging courses in all of Tampa.  The green is surrounding by foot long fairways and tall oaks that help keep players cool during the harsh summer heat.

Just a few minutes away from the USF area is North and New Tampa. These areas also have their own neighborhood turf. Tampa Palms and Hunter’s Green County Club are few of the favorites in New Tampa. Avilia, located in North Tampa, is one of the most prestige courses in the area.

If you travel more South, down to SoHo, Hyde Park or the South Tampa region, you will find the leading golf course, Palma Ceia. This is just six miles from the heart of Tampa and is an 18-hole award winning golf and country club.  Despite being known for the longest trees and par 70, Palma Ceia is also known for its "Old Tampa" feel.

In between South Tampa and downtown Tampa, is Rocky Point. Tampa apartments in Rocky Point are not only near the beach and airport, but are also just next to the Rocky Point Golf Course. This greenery comes with waterfront views and is surrounded by plenty of hotels, bars and upscale restaurants.

Westchase is another upscale community that has its own course. Apartments located in this neighborhood are 16 miles out from Tampa and are in the center of suburbia, located near schools, playgrounds, coffee shops, malls, restaurants and bars.

When searching for Tampa apartments near a golf course, you wont be looking for a needle in a haystack. In fact, there are dozens of courses throughout the Tampa Bay region.
