What can I do for fun near USF?

Looking to live in USF apartments in Tampa? Living in Tampa allows you to do plenty of things just within the close realms of your home. From theme parks to shopping, beach days, parks and dinning, many apartments near USF are surrounded by waves of entertainment.

Most USF apartments are located just across the street from the South Florida campus. Surrounding this area are two major theme parks; Busch Garden and Adventure Island. Despite being tourist attractions, Busch Garden offers roller coaster for its adventure seekers, wildlife for those who love animals, and some of Florida's finest nature for those who prefer to soak in Florida natural habitat. Being just five minutes from campus, many students flock to the theme park after classes.

Adventure Island, on the other hand, is a water park specifically for those who love waves, pools, slides and sun. Although this park is located directly across the street from Busch Gardens, beware of the city's turbulent weather. Often times, this park may be shut down during the few cold weeks during the winter and during heavy lightning storms.

Are you a mall rat? There are several malls near the college campus, just a short drive from USF apartments. The oldest mall, the University Square Mall, is nearly connected to the academic institution. Here, you will find stores such a footlocker and Old Navy. Do not expect to find high end designer stores in the plaza. If you are seeking a more modern and newer shopping area, stroll down ten miles and visit Wiregrass Mall. This shopping district is no more than a fifteen-minute drive from school. The outdoor mall contains handfuls of popular bars, restaurants and shops. Happy hour is pretty busy throughout the weekend and is crowded with students, graduates and business professionals.

International Mall is the further drive from campus. Although it is nearly a twenty minute commute, this mall will have nearly every store you could ever hope so. Additionally, the Westshore Plaza is just directly across the street, allowing you to explore two high-end malls just minutes from one another.

Although the beach is not within walking distance from most USF apartments located just outside of the University, , it is a short distance from campus. Clearwater beach is generally the closet waterfront ocean from Tampa. Since most communities are located just off of I-75, traveling to the beach areas of the state has become quite a convenient commute. There are also number coastal beaches near the Causeway, just past the International Mall. These types of coastal areas, are great for fishing, relaxing, or playing with your pet in the ocean waters.

If you hope to remain within walking distance of your home, MOSI is directly across the street. This museum offers interactive exhibits and an IMAX theater. Moreover, if you love being outside, there are plenty of places to visit when living in the student community. Lettuce Lake Park is located just behind the University. This park is perfect for those who enjoy biking, jogging, or just enjoying some scenic views of Florida's nature. USF also has plenty of jogging trails throughout campus that takes joggers in and out of the surrounding woods.

Overall, these examples are just a small sample of the entertaining activities offered in the Tampa Bay region near the University.
