Born and raised in the Sunshine State, Ashley hails from a one-stoplight town outside of Gainesville, FL. She was born in the same hospital as singer/songwriter Tom Petty (although not at the same time or the same decade for that matter.) With a degree in Journalism from UF (Go Gators!), most of her work has been involved in TV and video; including a stint with The Late Show with David Letterman in NYC. Imagine the culture shock when she left the comforts of laid-back Florida living (and prices!) to the fast-paced city culture of The Big Apple (and astronomical rates for a shoebox-sized apartment!)
One of her daring feats includes moving over 10 times in one year (yes, that is actually possible.) That being said, Ashley is a self-proclaimed expert on apartment hunting and has been through every situation imaginable. She understands how important it is to be comfortable in the place you call home, so she is thrilled that her experiences may help potential tenants make the best, most informed decisions when it comes to renting.
Ashley loves interacting with people and enjoys relating to everyone. She is very passionate about Florida Gator sports. She loves her family, friends, Broadway musicals, kickboxing and a good conversation. She enjoys volunteering and currently serves as a board member for the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program of North Central Florida, a charity which helps feed hungry children in her community. She is a Florida girl at heart, so you can usually find her fishing, going to the beach, camping or just enjoying the outdoors on the weekends. She is excited to join the iLS Network team!
