Emily was born in San Diego, California but spent half of her childhood in Florida, so she knows how to enjoy beaches and sunshine. Having grown up in the town of Spring Hill just north of Tampa, she is very familiar with the surrounding area. After graduating high school, Emily spent time in Gainesville pursuing her Associates Degree from Santa Fe College. When she started missing the water, she moved to Tampa and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of South Florida. Emily has also spent time in the St. Pete and Orlando areas, and these are a couple of her favorite spots.
Having moved over seven times in the span of five years, Emily has seen it all. From living in everything from apartments with too many roommates, to houses with fenced in yards and local farmers markets, to cockroach infested kitchens, she has learned what it takes to find a place that feels like home. Whether you are striking out on your own, looking for a college apartment close to campus, or just in search of something that doesn't break the bank, Emily has got the tips to help make your dream abode a reality. It is important to understand the pros and cons of all your potential homes, and Emily hopes that by sharing what she learned through her experience navigating multiple rental markets she can make your apartment hunt a bit easier.
As a lover of the great outdoors, Emily spends the vast majority of her time with nature. When not working as a Pastry Chef, she can be found biking around Flatwoods Wilderness Park, camping at Fort Desoto beach, kayaking to her favorite secret springs, or sunbathing by the ocean. She is thrilled to be a member of the iLS network team and can't wait to lend a hand to all those living in the sunshine state.
